At some point, a lot of us may have thought about lying on our CV to help us get a job. No matter how tempting it is, this is something you must not do. Not only can it harm your reputation when discovered, it could also land you into serious trouble e.g. jail for fraud! Employers are also not stupid, they know that some of the applicants will have told a white lie to try and boost their chances.
