Personal Profile/Statements, Fun or hell???
In your CV there is always a section to tell and employer about who you are and your personality. This is the personal profile/statement (it does get referred to as other titles). In this short section you must grab an employers attention so they carry on reading your CV. However, because this section is about 'you' many people struggle to show who they are!
A lot of people young and old can find writing about yourself a difficult process. If you asked them to write a description about someone else they could probably do so however, ask to apply it to then and then some people do struggle. Is it due a confidence issue?? The answer is no, just that some people find it really hard to write about themselves.
So what is the solution??? Practice!!! Yes practice is the way to do it plus with help of someone to read over it. Whoever reads it, make sure you trust them and that they look at it in a objective way, no point just getting a friend who will say it's good just so not to hurt your feelings. So how can you practice?? Well there are a few ways to practice:-
Yes it does sound like a lot of effort and time but it worth it if you can grab an employers attention. A key thing that lets a lot of people's CV's down is lack of effort in their CV. In this current market, it is worth it. Here are some other useful tips.
Try not to start every sentence with 'I'. This is admittedly difficult when you're writing a paragraph all about yourself, however try and think of other ways to explain yourself.
Address your audience. Remember you are trying to get an employer's attention, so make sure you direct it at them.
Don't think it, know it. If your good at something tell them, don't state you think you are when you know you are.
Edit. Try and cut out parts you don't need, there will always be some. Don't be afraid!!! It is for your own good.
Good luck!!!!

- One way is to keep writing one out till you happy, it works for some but not for everyone.
- Try to get use to writing about someone else for a bit, then apply what you do about yourself.
- List down your qualities and then try and make a few sentences out of it.
- If you feeling happy about what you have written replace some words with 'key words' to help sell yourself to employers.
- Get someone to help you realise your qualities, then ask them to read it over and give you an honest opinion.
