Application forms remain a popular method for employers to assess and compare people applying for the jobs they advertise. Every question has to be answered to help not only show your skills, qualities, qualifications and experience but also you personality too. By doing all that, it makes it straightforward for the employer to sort out those with the most suitable experience, the best qualifications and the keenest attitude.
So we all have to learn how to present ourselves well, whether sending off a form by post or applying online. It may be that very little writing comes into the job you want, but you will still have to get over this hurdle of the application form in order to get offered an interview. Most people dread having to “sell themselves” and find it doubly hard to do so in writing. But your application form needs to be well-written, positive and clear about what you have to offer if you want the job!!

Filling In An Online Application
This type of application is completed on the computer on the internet and can be done in two ways:-
(1) The application form and support documents (forms) can be downloaded or emailed to you then completed on your computer before emailing back to the employer.
(2) You register your details with the employer before completing form on their website. Your application can be saved and edited before you submit it and also revisited after submission and track what stage your application reached.
This method is at times viewed as a good method of applying as information is always presented well and spell checker helps to avoid spelling mistakes plus it is easy to transfer your finished rough draft onto the application form.
A major fault with this method is if someone who has not got access to a computer or/and internet are at times excluded for applying for job as no written application forms are made available.
Like any application form, all instructions should be followed and be proof read before submitting your application!
